VANIJ CHOKSI

An aspiring (and talented, if I may add) filmmaker and a true cinephile, Cinema at Random is Vanij's brainchild. From writing and directing films to reviewing them, everything cinema is his forte. A connoisseur of art, he brings a different perspective and take on films, and knows how to leave his audience wanting more. Basically, He's not your average movie buff. He aims to break stereotypes in Indian filmmaking and create a name for himself while redefining cinema itself. Winning several awards for his short films, Vanij has proved himself to be an unstoppable force to look out for in the future of the film industry. You'll also never find a bigger Brando fan than him.

Fun Fact: Spends more time in class replaying films or cooking up something in his head than actually studying.

Favourite film: Raging Bull (1980)

HRITHIKA NAIR

A true critic at heart, Hrithika started out judging films at a very young age. Being the chairperson of the jury at an international film festival, she knows a thing or two about understanding and judging films. Best described as a bibliophile and a historophile, Hrithika has always had a love for not just films but the entire history and process of creating a piece of cinema. Stubborn and headstrong, she's not one to be easily impressed by films. Her love of books, Jazz and Musica Tropicale is only second to her immense love of films. Along with Vanij, she's the creative brains behind this blog.

Fun Fact: She's the official mint and skittles dealer on campus.

FAHD ABDULLA

A closet nerd, Fahd is smarter than he lets on. A serious and acclaimed winner of fests, he is well versed with all things business, but get to know him better, and you'll watch him geek out over video games, mythology, alternative music and fun little history facts. He even has a separate blog of his own named "Garden of Weeden", where he shares things he finds interesting with the world. He won't admit to it, but he's a sucker for drama and gossip.

Fun Fact: Always the Designated Driver

ANANYA DATTA

No one quite knows how to describe Ananya, but you know you'll like her.

Best described as "quirky" and "full of personality", Ananya is how she prefers her food. Not at all bland. Flavourful. A burst of energy and weirdness, no one else knows how to lighten the mood quite like her. Her passion is food, films and food in films. A foodie at heart, no one understands the culinary world as Ananya does. Her hobbies mostly include interacting with virtual (and physical) cats, sleeping, and exploring new restaurants.

Fun Fact: Has had her laptop crash multiple times because of said virtual cat.

Favourite film: Zombieland (2009)

VALERIE WILSON

The resident fashion expert, Valerie has an eye for detail, aesthetics and all things style. A talented graphic designer and sketch artist, no one understands the importance of tiny details like she does. On Thursdays, she channels her inner Gossip Girl. A sucker for weird instagram and snapchat filters, Valerie knows how to let loose and have fun.

Fun Fact: She leaves little lipstick marks everywhere she goes.
